Uma Casa
Portuguese meals are meant to be shared and Uma Casa on Church feeds those who come for a MEAL. Not-so-fun fact: Until this month, SF didn’t have a Portuguese restaurant. We’re totally exciting to be dining with one-of-a-kind dishes while drinking plenty of Portuguese wine and beer — operating partner and beverage director Nora Furst has prepared the menu to pair very beautifully with the dishes. // 1550 Church St, umacasarestaurant.com
Coletta Gelato
As reported earlier this month, the creamy gelato dream a.k.a Flavors like Almost Chai, Pistachio with Maldon Sea Salt, Irish Coffee, Coco Banana Rum, Mint Chip Stracciatella, Amaretto with Roasted Almond, and Dark Chocolate Hazelnut are available at their new location. They fell in love with San Francisco for its shared epicurean zest and proximity to fresh, organic ingredients. And now they are eager to bring fresh gelato to all. // 685 Harrison St, colettagelato.com
Hazel Southern Bar & Kitchen
Opening in late Feb, the newest venue is to hit Market and Van Ness! With 16 TVs, 2 pool tables, sweet Southern comfort food such as mac and cheese, collard greens, jambalaya, po’boys and, of course, fried chicken. This spot is great for a classic family style meal. // 1446 Market St, instagram.com/hazelbarsf
Home Grown
Founded in our EIC’s hometown, Home Grown sticks true to their locally sourced fair. Think: Subway but 20x much better. Sandwich fanatics have new bounty to hunt at Seattle’s Home Grown, which recently opened downtown. Expect classic grilled cheeses with a twist; grass-fed steak with blue cheese; and Point Reyes Cobb salad. YUM. // 222 Battery St, eathomegrown.com
