If you regularly go to Walmart, getting one of their cards will benefit you. You can get some offers and rewards that come with the credit card too. It has two kinds of credit cards available; a Walmart Rewards Card, and a Capital One Walmart Rewards Mastercard. As there are two cards, there are different uses for each of them.  The Walmart Rewards Card can be used only at Walmart stores, Walmart gas stations, and their Walmart website. It can also be used at Sam’s Clubs’ physical stores. The Capital One Walmart Rewards Mastercard can be used anywhere if they accept Mastercard. Most of the places in America accept Mastercard, so you can use this card at various restaurants, bars, gas stations, cinemas, and other grocery stores. After October 2019, Capital One has been the issuer of Walmart Rewards cards, which is the reason for the card’s name. Previously, Walmart’s credit card provider was Synchrony Bank. If you have the previous card and haven’t gotten a new one, you won’t need to apply for another card. You will have to set up an account with Capital One though.

Where Can I Not Use Walmart Credit Cards?

For the Walmart Rewards Card, you cannot use it anywhere except Walmart and their associates. For the Capital One card, you cannot use it in places that do not accept Mastercard. While most places do, some places like Costco, which only accepts visas, do not. If you go somewhere unexpected, you might want to have another mode of payment ready for situations like this.
